There’s plenty for children to enjoy at Nakatumble, from splashing in the pool and snorkelling in the sea to exploring our extensive gardens - often with their favourite furry friend in tow. However, we know that kids sometimes need a little extra care. We make it easy for families with babies by providing a crib, blanket, washable play mats, a microwave, and a fridge for snacks. We also have a stroller and car seat available, and we're happy to wash cloth nappies for you.
All you need to bring is their favourite toy, bottle, some clothes… oh, and the baby too!
Our nannies are available from 7 AM to 9 PM daily, with evening bookings also available so you can relax and enjoy your getaway. You can read more about our nanny service here.
Indulge in a variety of massage options tailored to your needs, from soothing treatments to invigorating scrubs. Whether you prefer solo sessions or want to enjoy a massage with friends or a partner. Booking is easy - book in advance or simply send us a quick WhatsApp message during your stay and we can make it happen. Visit our Massage & Yoga page to learn more!
In Vanuatu, the standard plug type is I, featuring three flat pins arranged in a triangular pattern. The country operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz frequency, which is compatible with the plugs used in Australia and New Zealand. If you're visiting from either of these countries, you won’t need an adapter for your devices.
We recommend bringing visitors from other countries a power converter or adapter to ensure you can easily charge your electronics. Be sure to check your device’s voltage requirements and the necessary plug type for a hassle-free experience.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your power needs during your stay, don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly staff. We're here to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible!
Driving in Vanuatu is a fantastic way to experience the islands' breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture. While renting a car allows for independent exploration, there's a unique and rewarding alternative that benefits both you and the local community: hiring a local driver.
If you do choose to rent a car, several companies can assist you with reservations and insurance, and this is especially important as many roads are unsealed and there are many potholes to navigate, along with minimal roadside signage, and did we mention we drive on the opposite side of the road to NZ and Australia!
By opting for a local driver and van from a reputable business, you're not only enjoying a seamless travel experience but also supporting the Vanuatu economy. Your choice helps local entrepreneurs thrive and creates job opportunities for residents, making a positive impact on the community.
A local driver offers more than just transportation; they provide a personalised journey. With their expertise, you can enjoy a day tailored to your interests, whether you’re seeking hidden gems, cultural sites, or family-friendly activities. Your driver’s local knowledge will help you uncover the best that Vanuatu has to offer.

We encourage you to bring unopened snack items from overseas, especially if you have severe allergies, as options in Vanuatu may be limited.
At Nakatumble, we recognise that food allergies and intolerances are a significant concern, with one in five Australians affected. We understand that special dietary requirements are nearly a certainty for many of our guests. Whether your restrictions are based on health, religious, or ethical beliefs, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels fully catered to. Whether you are kosher, vegan, vegetarian, or have allergies or intolerances to gluten, dairy, eggs, and more, we are here to accommodate your needs.
We cater to all allergies and dietary preferences, but we kindly ask for advance notice. In some cases, we may recommend bringing specific items from overseas, as options here can be limited and we understand that brand preferences are important. For instance, if you prefer a particular soy milk, please feel free to bring it along. However, if you enjoy oat milk, we can prepare that fresh for you during your stay. We encourage you to bring snacks, especially for children who may have particular preferences. If you are lactose intolerant or gluten-free, please consider bringing your preferred brand, as those options may be harder to find here. Read more on our Dining & Drinks page.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, here are some common helpful packing tips, but to learn more you can read our article on what to pack for your holiday at Nakatumble here:
Sunscreen: Please bring reef-safe sunscreen to protect both your skin and our beautiful marine environment.
Sun Protection: A sun rashie or swim shirt is highly recommended for extra sun protection.
Donations/Gifts: If you wish to share a piece of your home, consider bringing small gifts or donations for the local community. You can read more in our article on The Joy of Giving Back in Vanuatu
Clothing: Pack light—loose-fitting clothes are ideal, as we provide daily laundry service. Heels are unnecessary; comfortable footwear is best for exploring!
Hair Dryer: There’s no need to bring your own hair dryer; we have them available for your convenience.
For Babies:
• Bring enough diapers and formula, as these can be hard to find locally.
• If breastfeeding, you’re welcome to bring frozen milk; we have space to store it.
• If using cloth nappies, we can accommodate that—just be sure to bring swimming ones as well.
